Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Health Care Assistant to join our team at Chorley Hospital. As a key member of our Outpatients department, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive high-quality care and support.

Main Duties
  • Provide personalized care to patients, adhering to local and national standards.
  • Assist patients with nutritional needs and undertake clinical duties relevant to the clinical area.
  • Maintain patient safety and adhere to health, safety, and security legislation, policies, and guidelines.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and productive care environment.
  • Actively resolve issues and complaints at the local level and report outcomes to the line manager.
Person Specification

Qualifications & Education

  • GCSE Maths & English grade C or above, or level 2 numeracy skills and level 2 literacy skills.
  • BNCS or NVQ in health level 2.
  • Must be willing to undertake trust internal INCS course.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Previous experience of working in an acute healthcare or related setting.
  • Understanding of health and safety issues within healthcare.
  • Understanding of the concept and application of confidentiality.
  • Understanding of the role of a band 3 senior HCA.
