We are seeking a skilled Care Support Specialist to join our team at Mencap. This role is part of our 24-hour care services, providing support to individuals with learning disabilities. As a specialist, you will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and reducing social isolation. This position requires a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with our service users.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with daily activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and domestic duties.
- Support individuals with learning disabilities to develop independence and confidence.
- Participate in creating a safe and inclusive environment, promoting equality and diversity.
- Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and service users.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Contract options:
- Full-time: 37.5 hours per week.
Shift times:
- Days: 07:00-10:00 pm.
- Sleep-in available, with an enhanced flat rate payment.
