About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of children and young people, including the administration and interpretation of psychometric tests.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based psychological interventions for individual children and young people, as well as their families and carers.
  • Provide regular clinical supervision and caseload management to junior psychology staff.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A good honours degree in Psychology and registration as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Post-graduate doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.
  • Substantial post-qualification experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
  • Experience of managing junior psychology staff and contributing to service leadership and development.
