Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and empathetic individual to join our team as a Library Assistant Volunteer. In this role, you will provide critical support to our community outreach program, assisting with events, workshops, and daily operations. If you have a passion for storytelling and a desire to make a difference, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

- Interact with readers and assist with book requests
- Assist with events, workshops, and daily operations
- Represent the Streetreads project and Simon Community Scotland as an ambassador
- Work with people from diverse backgrounds and maintain a flexible, non-judgmental attitude

Requirements

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
- Genuine interest in books and storytelling
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 12 months
