Accounting Manager

Your new company, a fast-growing business based in Hungerford, is seeking an experienced Group Accounting Manager to join their team. As a key member of the Group Finance department, you will work closely with the Director of Group Finance and the Group Tax Manager to drive financial excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Timely and thorough review of the group consolidation each month, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance financial reporting.
- Planning and implementation of the adoption of FRS 102 (IFRS15 revenue recognition implications) and future IFRS adoption, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Driving continuous improvement in the quality of financial accounting within the regions, identifying improvement points and monitoring implementation.
- Collaboration with auditors to produce and review statutory financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Technical accounting expertise and support for the group, addressing complex accounting questions and projects.
- Line management of a team of two, responsible for month-end and year-end accounting for Group holding companies.
- Maintenance of the integrity of Group reporting systems, completeness of cost centers, and responsibility for chart of accounts, month-end transaction refreshes, and transaction completeness.
- Overall responsibility for inter-company position reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Relevant professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and proficiency in audit or statutory reporting, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills and Microsoft Word and PowerPoint working knowledge.
- Effective communication at all levels of the organization, with both financial and non-financial colleagues.
