Job Summary

NHS England is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Revalidation and Accreditation Officer to join our Postgraduate Medical and Dental Education (PGMDE) Team in the South East Region. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the planning, development, education, and training of the healthcare and public health workforce across Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Thames Valley, Hampshire, Dorset, Isle of Wight, and Salisbury.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will support the Revalidation and Accreditation Manager in the provision of a wide range of operational functions to ensure the smooth running of assessment and revalidation across the local offices in the South East. This will include:

  • Maintaining excellent records and ensuring accuracy and timely activity
  • Coordinating assessment activity across a number of education programmes
  • Supporting the Education Programme Managers in ensuring appropriate governance is in place
  • Producing various reports, data, and information as required by NHSE and the GMC
  • Participating in local and regional meetings and setting up meetings and agendas

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in a relevant subject or equivalent level of experience working at a similar level in a specialist area
  • Strong knowledge of administrative procedures and associated information analysis
  • Experience of dealing with a wide range of stakeholders and providing complex information and advice
  • Advanced keyboard skills and advanced use of IT systems and software programmes
