Job Title: Lecturer in Construction Management

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lecturer in Construction Management to join our team at GBS Global Applied Knowledge. As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the principles and practices of construction project management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality course materials and teaching sessions to students
  • Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to ensure students meet learning outcomes
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in construction project management
  • Contribute to the development of academic programs and courses
  • Participate in staff development activities and peer observations
  • Support student support services to ensure students receive the necessary guidance and support
  • Meet performance management objectives for student outcomes, satisfaction, retention, and attendance

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or equivalent
  • Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Previous lecturing experience in similar courses
  • Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge and experience of teaching construction management with a focus on BIM and digital technologies
  • Experience in facilitating computer-aided design workshops
  • Full membership of CIOB or equivalent body
