Academic Opportunity in Construction Management

We are seeking a highly qualified Academic Lecturer in Construction Management to join our academic team at GBS Global Applied Knowledge. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching across a range of modules related to construction management, including project planning, risk assessment, and sustainable practices.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in construction management, project management, or a related field, and will have previous experience in lecturing or teaching. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively with diverse groups of people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across a range of modules related to construction management
  • Develop, update, and improve course materials as appropriate
  • Use a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials, including live online learning
  • Attend meetings as required to contribute to the decision-making process and develop productive working relationships
  • Participate in staff development activities and peer observations
  • Understand and keep up to date with student support to ensure our students have the full support and guidance they need
  • Participate in the GBS performance management programme, meeting a range of clearly defined objectives for student outcomes, student satisfaction, retention, and attendance
  • Undertake administrative duties as agreed with your line manager

Key Requirements:

  • Strong academic background in construction management, project management, or a related field
  • Previous experience in lecturing or teaching
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
  • Knowledge of relevant subject matter and a firm commitment to personal and professional development
