About the RoleThe successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing specialist psychological assessments and therapy to patients with palliative care needs at end-of-life. The role involves working across palliative care in-patient and out-patient services, ensuring that all members of the treating team have access to a psychologically based framework for understanding and care of clients.
Responsibilities- Assessment and Therapy: Provide highly specialist psychological assessments and therapy to patients with palliative care needs, utilising complex psychological data from various sources.
- Communication: Assist the medical team in communicating difficult, complex, and sensitive information to patients and their families.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other disciplines to ensure seamless care delivery and maintain links with statutory and non-statutory agencies.
- Risk Management: Undertake assessment and risk management for individual clients, ensuring effective provision of psychological care.
- Qualifications: Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Desirable Qualifications: Undertaken post-doctoral training in relevant specialised areas of psychological practice, leadership training, and experience working with diverse client groups.
We offer a competitive salary range of £43,041 - £72,756 per annum, depending on experience.
