Job Overview

Peterborough City Council is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a qualified Educational Psychologist to join our dynamic and caring Educational Psychology Service (EPS). Our team is well regarded within the Local Authority and other stakeholders, providing high-quality services for children and young people with special educational needs.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in educational psychology and be committed to delivering exceptional results. We prioritize continuous professional development and provide opportunities for growth and progression.

Salary

We offer a competitive salary range of £46,525-£56,540 per annum, plus up to 3 SPA points, taking into account the Soulbury Salary Scale A 3-8 structure. From April 2025, this post will be paid at Scale A points 5-10, plus up to 3 SPA points, reflecting the increasing demands of the role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver training programs for school staff, applying up-to-date theory and research.
  • Support schools in implementing the graduated approach for children and young people with special educational needs.
  • Contribute to the EPS's consultation service delivery model, shaping high-quality services that meet the needs of our clients.
