About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team as a Clinical Lead in Psychological Therapies. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to lead our service and contribute to the development of high-quality care for older people.

Job Description

This role involves providing highly specialist clinical psychology services to clients referred to the Older Peoples Stepped Care Therapies Service, working with people with functional and organic mental health problems, and those living with long-term conditions, according to the agreed stepped care procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and delivering high-quality care plans to support individuals with complex mental health needs.
  • Providing clinical supervision and guidance to staff within the service, including more junior psychological therapists, trainee clinical psychologists, and mental health practitioners where appropriate.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement service policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • A doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology.
  • Experience of specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and treatment of clients across the full range of care settings.
  • Experience of working in mental health services for older people, with experience of holding a caseload, assessment, care planning, and delivery of psychological interventions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling formation of networks with professionals within the Trust and from other agencies to promote effective team working with clients.
Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of £85,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including pension scheme, generous annual leave, and opportunities for professional development.
