About the Role

Forth Ports Limited is seeking a highly skilled In-House Legal Counsel to join our small, established team. As a key member of our legal department, you will report directly to our Head of Legal and work closely with our commercial teams to provide commercially focused legal advice on commercial contracts with customers, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert legal advice on commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including those with customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Assist with company secretarial duties, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support with regulatory and compliance matters, staying up-to-date with relevant legislation and industry developments.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified from any UK jurisdiction with a strong background in commercial law.
  • Minimum 2 years of PQE from private practice or in-house, with experience in commercial contracts and company secretarial duties.
  • Commercial property experience is an advantage, but not essential.
  • A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to provide clear and concise advice to stakeholders at all levels.
  • An independent worker with the ability to prioritize a varied workload and meet deadlines.
