About the Role

Forth Ports Limited is seeking a highly skilled In-House Legal Counsel to join our small, established team. As a key member of our legal department, you will report directly to our Head of Legal and work closely with our commercial teams to provide commercially focused legal advice on commercial contracts with customers, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert legal advice on commercial contracts, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements.
  • Assist with company secretarial duties, including maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Support with regulatory and compliance matters, staying up-to-date with relevant legislation and ensuring our company remains compliant.
  • Work closely with our commercial teams to identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring our business operations remain efficient and effective.

What We're Looking For

  • A qualified lawyer from any UK jurisdiction with 2+ years of PQE in commercial or corporate law.
  • Commercial property experience is an advantage, but not essential.
  • A strong communicator who can provide clear, concise advice at all levels within the business.
  • An independent worker able to prioritize a varied workload and meet deadlines.
  • Full UK working rights are essential.
