About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced In-House Legal Counsel to join our established Legal team at Forth Ports Group. This is a newly created role as a result of growth, offering a unique opportunity to gain quality, varied exposure on a wide range of legal work.

The successful candidate will report directly to our Head of Legal and work in a small, established team providing a wide range of services both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide commercially focused legal advice on commercial contracts with customers, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts.
  • Assist with company secretarial duties.
  • Support with regulatory and compliance matters.
  • Stay up to date with legislation relevant to the company and its activities.
Requirements
  • Qualified Lawyer from any UK jurisdiction.
  • 2 years+ PQE experience from private practice or in-house (Commercial / Corporate is preferred).
  • Commercial property experience would be an advantage.
  • A strong communicator who can provide appropriate advice at all levels within the business.
  • An independent worker able to prioritize a varied workload.
  • Full UK working rights are also essential.
