About the Role

Forth Ports Limited is seeking a highly skilled In-House Legal Counsel to join our small, established team. As a key member of our legal department, you will report directly to our Head of Legal and work closely with our commercial teams to provide commercially focused legal advice on a wide range of matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert legal advice on commercial contracts with customers, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, ensuring they meet the company's needs and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist with company secretarial duties, including maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support with regulatory and compliance matters, staying up-to-date with relevant legislation and ensuring the company remains compliant.
  • Collaborate with our commercial teams to identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring the company's interests are protected.

Requirements

  • Qualified from any UK jurisdiction.
  • Minimum 2 years' PQE from private practice or in-house, with experience in commercial law.
  • Commercial property experience is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise advice to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritizing a varied workload and meeting deadlines.
  • Full UK working rights are essential.
