About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Team Manager to join our growing & successful Care Team based out of our Sale office. As part of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., you will be responsible for leading a team of 10 Account Handlers, providing guidance and support while championing compliance and adhering to internal and external regulations.

With a strong background in commercial insurance and risk management, you will oversee the process and performance of your team, ensuring high-quality work and exceeding expectations in a fast-paced environment. Deadlines are not just met, but surpassed, as you drive meaningful results and excel under pressure.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team, acting as the main escalation point and supporting the Managing Director in the process and performance of the team.
  • Champion compliance and adhere to internal and external regulations, ensuring data integrity and accuracy in all details entered into our broking platforms.
  • Offer technical support to Gallagher colleagues, improving business knowledge and capability while enhancing personal development.
  • Manage and stay on top of the team's workloads, allocating tasks accordingly to maintain standards and achieve SLAs.
  • Carry out regular 1-2-1s with the Team and annual performance reviews and appraisals, focusing on personal growth and development.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Team Leader experience within commercial insurance, preferably with a Chartered Insurance Institute qualification or equivalent.
  • An intermediate knowledge of the commercial insurance industry, with previous experience in the insurance sector and working to targets within a regulated framework.
  • A strong focus on risk awareness, handling client information with diligence and due care, and delivering exceptional client-centric outcomes.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, confident when building and maintaining rapport, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and eligibility to work in the UK.
