Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated District Nurse Trainee to join our Community Nursing Team on the Island of Mull.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a unique and picturesque setting, providing high-quality care to the local community. As a District Nurse Trainee, you will play a vital role in delivering day-to-day services and working closely with other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide holistic care to patients in their own homes, focusing on prevention and early intervention.
  • Work collaboratively with the Community Nursing Team to develop and implement care plans.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in change management projects.
  • Develop strong relationships with patients, families, and carers, ensuring excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Stay up-to-date with national policies and guidelines, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Specialist Practice District Nurse qualification or be willing to undertake the degree course leading to qualification as a District Nurse.
  • Have experience in community nursing and a passion for delivering high-quality care.
  • Be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with different professional groups.
  • Have a good awareness of national policies and guidelines.
