Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Cancer Nurse to join our team at Conexus Healthcare CIC. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the everyday practice operations and providing clinical guidance, knowledge, and skills as a Lead Cancer Nurse.

Main Responsibilities
  • Participate in national cancer screening programs and ensure robust and supportive referral practices are in place for patients suspected of having cancer.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to shorten diagnostic intervals and improve patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement safety netting approaches to monitor patients who have been referred urgently with suspected cancer or for further investigations.
  • Provide advice and support to healthcare teams on cancer audit and referral review of cancer diagnoses.
  • Work with healthcare teams to identify trends and learning from case reviews and develop consistent safety netting approaches.
