Job Opportunity: Head Sommelier

Smyth & Co is collaborating with a prestigious Private Members Club in the USA, located in the beautiful state of Florida.

We are seeking a highly experienced Head Sommelier or Senior Sommelier with a strong background in Michelin-starred restaurants and fine dining establishments to join our team in an elegant service setting.

The ideal candidate must have at least 1* Michelin star experience and a high-volume background in 5-star hotels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the wine program and team
  • Develop and implement wine lists and menus
  • Provide exceptional wine service and knowledge
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create wine-pairing menus
  • Manage wine inventory and ordering

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Head Sommelier in a private members club, 5-star hotel, or Michelin-starred restaurant
  • WSET level 3 minimum
  • Strong knowledge of new and old world wines, international, French, and American wines
  • Ability to relocate to the USA for a 1-year fixed contract with possibility of renewal
