We are a leading earthmoving company based in the UK, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality projects to our clients. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Delivery Leader to lead our project delivery team at Sizewell C.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing site operations, primarily focusing on bulk earthworks, and ensuring the effective management of sub-contractors and staff. This is a key leadership role that requires strong organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Direct and lead the project team.
  • Site Operations: Manage bulk earthworks and logistics.
  • Documentation: Maintain site diaries and allocation sheets.
  • Resource Management: Monitor labour and resources, reporting to the Project Director.
  • Construction Oversight: Review drawings, develop method statements, and ensure compliance.
  • Local Authority: Control day-to-day operations.
  • Coordination: Plan and execute work with Senior Management and Engineering teams.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Productivity: Maximize team efficiency.
  • Planning Assistance: Collaborate on detailed planning sessions.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to construction methods and ITPs.

Requirements

  • A first-class approach to health, safety, and environmental management is essential.
  • Experience managing multiple foremen and sub-contractor gangs is required.
  • Knowledge of material usage, machine matching, and Series 600 Specification for Highway Works is necessary.
  • Effective use of GPS machine guidance is desirable.
  • The ability to work to a 3-week programme is critical.
  • An understanding of quality requirements and ITP adherence is essential.
  • Professional interaction with Client representatives is required.
  • Leadership and visibility on site are essential.
  • A SMSTS qualification and CSCS Gold Card are mandatory.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in the industry, with 5 years in a supervisory role, is required.

Benefits and Salary

The salary for this position is £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, pension scheme, and annual leave.
