Job Summary:

Adecco is seeking a highly skilled Senior Category Manager to join our team. As a Senior Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing commercial category strategies to achieve the strategic aims and objectives of our clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Negotiating and influencing senior collective forums to achieve procurement savings plans
  • Leading complex procurement projects to deliver quantifiable procurement efficiencies
  • Managing contract reviews to ensure compliance with procurement legislation
  • Developing and managing sustainable procurement strategies to reduce environmental impact
  • Providing excellent customer service to all parties involved

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience managing high-value category management and delivering procurement efficiencies
  • Experience in mentoring or managing staff
  • Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Diploma with full corporate membership (MCIPS)
  • Excellent interpretation of procurement legislation

Desirable Skills:

  • Understanding of the police force's operational needs for specific categories
  • Experience in leading and managing procurement projects of significant complexity and value
