About the Role

Adecco is seeking a highly skilled Senior Category Manager to join our client, a well-established police organisation based in the UK. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and managing commercial category strategies to achieve the strategic aims and objectives of the Forces served.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Negotiate and Influence Senior Stakeholders: Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior collective forums to drive commercial category strategies.
  2. Deliver Procurement Savings Plans: Develop and implement procurement savings plans to achieve strategic objectives.
  3. Lead Complex Procurement Projects: Manage and deliver complex procurement projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  4. Manage Contract Reviews: Conduct thorough contract reviews to ensure optimal commercial outcomes.
  5. Develop Sustainable Procurement Strategies: Develop and implement sustainable procurement strategies to drive business growth and reduce costs.
  6. Provide Excellent Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service to all parties involved, ensuring a positive experience.
Requirements

To be successful in this position, you should have relevant experience managing high-value category management and delivering quantifiable procurement efficiencies. A strong understanding of the police force's operational needs for specific categories and experience in leading and managing procurement projects of significant complexity and value would be desirable.
