Job Summary

We're seeking a highly experienced Commercial Director to lead our GridFlex team, driving the positioning and monetisation of our energy solutions and helping our customers get the maximum benefit from their part in the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement commercial strategies in support of our GridFlex business development, building on the team's growth and identifying future opportunities for us to participate in capacity, balancing, wholesale, and flexibility services.
  2. Liaise closely with policy and regulation teams, product teams, and industry groups to stay informed and influence the energy landscape.
  3. Engage regularly with regulatory bodies and other organizations to ensure compliance and maximise value for our customers.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A genuine expert in GB energy markets, used to dealing with complexities and vagaries.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, with an ability to bridge between conventional markets and our fleet's capabilities.
  • Relentless commercial focus, driven by the opportunity to maximise value for our customers.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, strong financial and management skills, organisational abilities, and interpersonal qualities.
