Barrington James is currently seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical communications and a proven track record of delivering successful projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of business growth strategies.
  • Provide input to the accounts and its growth, identifying opportunities for expansion and improvement.
  • Plan and manage client relationships, ensuring strong partnerships and effective communication.
  • Support the business development team in identifying new business opportunities.
  • Maximise financial control and ensure the effective management of client budgets.
  • Understand the disease area, key brand data and competitor landscape to brief key opinion leaders, writers and editorial teams, and freelancers, so that they create content to meet the brand objectives.
  • Improve patient outcomes across a range of therapy areas.
  • Work closely with the medical writers and editors, as well as under the guidance of an account director.
  • Manage and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a medical communications agency.
  • A Life Science degree or higher.
  • Experience delivering face-to-face and/or online programs.
  • A passion for digital communications and medicine.
