We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Head of Renewable Energy Projects. As a key member of our origination team, you will play a critical role in identifying, evaluating, and securing new renewable energy projects across the UK and ROI.
Key Responsibilities- Lead site search and feasibility work, including preparing preliminary layouts, assessments of grid, access, and energy resource for all technologies.
- Manage the successful negotiation, completion, and management of exclusivity agreements and land contracts with landowners and their agents.
- Manage internal project and agent reporting/auditing, including performance analysis, and manage internal stakeholders to deliver land contracts within the programme.
- Carry out due diligence and submission documents for tender bids, and provide ad-hoc advice and due diligence on property matters in relation to any acquisition opportunities.
- Ensure all key decisions are supported by sufficient due diligence and investigation, and take a proactive approach to Health and Safety management.
- Demonstrable experience from a renewable energy, land rights, or other project initiation/development role.
- Degree and/or professional qualification in land/property or sustainable development.
- Established negotiation skills, with clear evidence of data analysis/management for reporting and auditing.
- Knowledgeable and aware of renewables land agreements and contracts, with experience and skills in renewable energy site feasibility and development.
- Familiarity with Geographical Information Systems (GIS) is preferred.
