Key Responsibilities

The Solar Solution Engineer will be responsible for:

  1. Conducting feasibility assessments and solar resource assessments to optimize energy yield
  2. Supporting the techno-economic optimization of solar projects, including solar PV system design and its impact on Balance of System
  3. Carrying out miscellaneous analyses in support of project development, including collaboration with the procurement team
  4. Supporting the procurement team in discussions with suppliers and conducting ad-hoc analysis and tool development

The Solar Solution Engineer may also use their skills and experience to support other areas of the business, in any of RES' regional markets.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  1. Knowledge of statistics and the Solar PV industry, including the design of utility-scale Solar PV projects
  2. Good report writing skills and attention to detail, as well as good time management skills and communication and interpersonal skills
  3. Experience of working on Utility-scale Solar PV projects, with a background in Electronics, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline
