Job Description

The Solar Solution Engineer will play a key role in our team, responsible for:

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conducting feasibility assessments and solar resource assessments to identify potential project sites
  2. Supporting the techno-economic optimization of solar projects, including solar PV system design and its impact on the balance of system
  3. Carrying out miscellaneous analyses in support of project development, including energy yield assessments and system-wide design
  4. Collaborating with the procurement team to discuss supplier options and negotiate contracts
  5. Developing and maintaining tools and models to support project development and analysis
Requirements
  1. Strong knowledge of statistics and the solar PV industry, including utility-scale solar PV project design
  2. Excellent report writing and communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a team
  3. Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Desirable Skills
  1. Experience with PVSyst or other PV simulation software
  2. Knowledge of GIS and programming languages such as Python
  3. Experience in a trade or non-vocational background with relevant experience
