About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Solar PV Technical Specialist to join our team at OVO Energy. As a key member of our Zero Carbon Living team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the technical feasibility of our solar and storage solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and validate remote and site survey information to ensure technical compliance and feasibility.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the sales and survey team on solar PV queries.
  • Collaborate with the sales and survey team to complete DNO applications and ensure quality and accuracy of quotes and surveys.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve project challenges, providing technical expertise and guidance as needed.
  • Work closely with the solar surveying team to ensure quality and accuracy of quotes and surveys.
  • Evaluate and own risks, challenges, and opportunities, making recommendations on future direction.
  • Represent OVO Energy at external industry events to build our profile and reputation as a tech leader in the solar PV space.

Requirements

  • Deep experience in solar PV, system designs, electrical configurations, cable runs, roof construction types, and scaffold requirements.
  • Previous experience in a startup, fast-paced, and tech-based environment.
  • Experience in a MCS accredited organization.
  • Sound technical knowledge of hardware and software solutions relevant to solar PV and battery storage.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage audiences at senior executive and C-suite level.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to see the bigger picture and deliver at pace.
  • Able to operate at a high level independently, with an adaptable and flexible approach to plans and changing scenarios.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of £32,690 to £39,550, depending on your specific skills and experience. You will also be eligible for an on-target bonus of 15% and a range of green benefits and progressive policies to support your wellbeing and career development.
