Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Design Engineer to join our team at Protec Fire Detection PLC. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing fire alarm systems that meet the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement fire alarm systems that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and maintain accurate documentation and records of design work.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in fire alarm technology.
  • Contribute to the development of company design procedures and standards.
Requirements
  • Essential:
    • FIA Design certification
    • Technical/Engineering qualification
    • Experience of working within a building services environment
    • Experience of working with CDE's
    • An excellent eye for detail
    • Self-motivated with an organised approach to managing workload
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Competent using Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Ability to confidently deal with difficult and stressful situations
    • The ability to maintain accurate records
    • Ability to communicate effectively with staff at varying levels throughout the company
    • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
    • Ability to understand and interpret drawings from varying sources
    • Good working knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineer terminology
    • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
  • Desirable:
    • Revit and AutoCAD
    • Experience of working with Revit
