Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Design Engineer to join our team at Protec Fire Detection PLC. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing fire alarm systems that meet the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implementation: Design and implement fire alarm systems that meet customer requirements and comply with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, including sales teams, project managers, and engineers.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Ensure accurate and complete documentation of design processes, system designs, and project deliverables.
  • Project Management: Manage the post-order design process from sales handover to completion, ensuring timely delivery of project outputs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, and implement improvements to design processes and systems.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: FIA Design certification, technical/engineering qualification, and experience with Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Experience: Major project design experience, multi-discipline design experience, experience working with Revit, and experience working within a building services environment.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent eye for detail, self-motivated with an organized approach to managing workload, excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to maintain accurate records.
