About the Role:

The Alcohol Outreach Specialist will work with homeless individuals who have experienced addiction, providing support and guidance to help them engage with well-being services and drug treatment. This is a dynamic and rewarding role that requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct triage and comprehensive substance misuse assessments, risk assessments, and develop person-centred recovery care plans
  • Carry out street outreach to engage or re-engage homeless individuals using substances
  • Deliver satellite provisions within local services, such as GPs, probation, hostels, etc.
  • Co-facilitate therapeutic groups
  • Deliver harm reduction advice
  • Work in collaboration with partner agencies in housing, immigration, healthcare, etc.
