Patient Transfer Coordinator

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Patient Transfer Attendant to join our team at Voyago in Windsor, Ontario. This is a unionized position with various shifts available.
As a Patient Transfer Attendant, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients via stretcher or wheelchair to/from healthcare facilities, nursing homes, or private residences.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Safely transporting patients using a stretcher or wheelchair.
- Providing excellent customer service to patients and their families.
- Maintaining accurate records of patient transportation.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A valid First Responder Certification OR AEMCA, OR working towards a Paramedic Diploma (must be finished year 1) OR Firefighter with Emergency Medical Responder Certification.
- A valid CPR and First Aid (Level C).
- A valid G class driving license.
- The ability to lift 250+ lbs. using a stretcher or stair chair with a partner.
- Effective communication in both verbal and written English.
- A clean driving record.
- A clean Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector screening.
- Up-to-date immunization records including MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19 (2 doses), TB Skin Test (Step 1) *must be valid within last 12 months.
- A High School diploma or equivalency or post-secondary diploma.
