Stretcher Attendant

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Transfer Attendant to join our team at Voyago in Windsor, Ontario.

As a Patient Transfer Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of patients via stretcher or wheelchair to/from healthcare facilities, nursing homes, or private residences.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Safely transporting patients using a stretcher or wheelchair.
• Providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
• Maintaining accurate records of patient transportation.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• A valid First Responder Certification OR AEMCA, OR working towards a Paramedic Diploma (must be finished year 1) OR Firefighter with Emergency Medical Responder Certification.
• A valid CPR and First Aid (Level C).
• A valid G class driving license.
• The ability to lift 250+ lbs. using a stretcher or stair chair with a partner.
• Effective communication in both verbal and written English.
• A clean driving record.
• A clean Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector screening.
• Up-to-date immunization records including MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19 (2 doses), TB Skin Test (Step 1) *must be valid within last 12 months.
• A High School diploma or equivalency or post-secondary diploma.
