About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Scheme Manager to join our General Needs team in Maldon, Essex. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a sheltered scheme for individuals over 55, ensuring the administration, management, and maintenance of the scheme meet published standards and procedures.

As a Scheme Manager, you will have a strong focus on promoting the independence, dignity, choices, security, diversity, privacy, confidentiality, rights, and wellbeing of residents. You will work closely with residents to identify their needs and provide support to ensure their rights as tenants are upheld.

About You

We are looking for an individual who shares our delivery values and behaviours, with a passion for helping people thrive. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting residents to ensure their rights as tenants are upheld and monitoring their wellbeing to identify when additional support is required.
  • Ensuring the premises are kept safe and secure, and that there is full compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Controlling the potential loss of revenue by monitoring, reporting, and taking action on voids and arrears to maximise income.
  • Maintaining an efficient administration system which meets the needs set by Salvation Army Homes for records and reports, complying with statutory or regulatory requirements.
  • Liaising and maintaining good working relationships with external contacts to facilitate referrals, support, payments, and create a professional image of the association.
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of individuals and families that come to our attention.
