Clinical Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Support Specialist to join our team in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Main Responsibilities- Provide a wide range of specialist treatments for patients requiring emergency and elective surgery.
- Undertake any responsibility related to oral and maxillofacial surgery, both elective and emergency.
- Cover for colleagues' annual leave and other authorized absences.
- Active involvement in audit and continuing professional development.
- Travel and attendance at peripheral units, including Friarage Hospital, North Tees General Hospital, and Darlington Memorial Hospital.
- BDS or equivalent primary dental qualification.
- Full registration with the UK General Dental Council.
- Three years full-time postgraduate training or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a resident SHO in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, including in-patient experience.
- Experience in dento-alveolar surgery and basic trauma management.
Our department provides a complete range of Oral and Maxillofacial services across Teesside, South Durham, and North Yorkshire, with a catchment population of approximately 1 million people. We offer a purpose-built Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthodontic, and Restorative Dentistry Department at the James Cook University Hospital, with excellent computer facilities, medical illustration, and radiology services.
