Clinical Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor to join our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery team at The James Cook University Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients requiring emergency and elective surgery.
Main Responsibilities- Provide a wide range of specialist treatments for patients requiring emergency and elective surgery, including outpatient clinics, day case operating lists, and assessment of emergencies and ward referrals.
- Undertake any responsibility related to oral and maxillofacial surgery, both elective and emergency.
- Cover for colleagues' annual leave and other authorized absences.
- Active involvement in audit and continuing professional development.
- Travel and attendance at peripheral units, including Friarage Hospital, North Tees General Hospital, and Darlington Memorial Hospital.
- BDS or equivalent primary dental qualification.
- Full registration with the UK General Dental Council.
- Three years full-time postgraduate training or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a resident SHO in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, including in-patient experience.
- Experience in dento-alveolar surgery and basic trauma management.
