About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Recovery Specialist to join our team at Turning Point. As a key member of our Family Safeguarding Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support and interventions to families affected by substance use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, and risk management plans for families affected by substance use.
  • Develop and implement personalized recovery plans, including medically assisted recovery where appropriate.
  • Deliver a range of outreach, open-access, and case management services to support families in achieving their goals and improving outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Family Safeguarding Team to ensure seamless delivery of services and achieve contractual output targets.
  • Contribute to the overall performance of the service, including data collection and progress reporting.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in a busy environment as a Recovery Worker or similar, with a deep understanding of substance use and the Recovery Agenda.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with adults and young people with a history of substance use.
  • Vocational qualification, such as an NVQ 3 or equivalent, in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of relapse and other barriers to recovery, with a track record of DANOS compliance.
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
