About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team in Somerset. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support and interventions to families affected by substance use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, and risk management plans for families affected by substance use.
  • Develop and implement personalized recovery plans, including medically assisted recovery where appropriate.
  • Deliver a range of outreach, open-access, and case management services to support families in achieving their goals.
  • Work closely with the Family Safeguarding Team Leader and SDAS Young Persons & Family Service Manager to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Contribute to the overall performance of the service, ensuring contractual output targets are met.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in a busy environment as a Recovery Worker or similar.
  • Deep understanding of substance use and the Recovery Agenda.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Vocational qualification, such as an NVQ 3 or equivalent, is desirable.
  • Knowledge of relapse and other barriers to recovery, as well as DANOS compliance.
