About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to join our Airline Services team at TUI. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for shaping and implementing our team and category strategy, leading a team of procurement managers and specialists, and nurturing and developing team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to drive cost savings and improve supplier relationships.
  • Manage medium-to-high value/risk projects, following our SM&P process and procedures manual, and support and/or review other procurement projects as needed.
  • Lead procurement processes in cooperation with operational stakeholders and work closely with other SM&P team members as required.
  • Manage escalated contractual claims and disputes between operational departments, support functions, and suppliers, and obtain adequate resolution.
  • Develop and manage long-term supplier relationships by reviewing supplier commercial and operational performance and organizing regular service/performance review meetings.
  • Report on risk levels and make recommendations for further actions based on market intelligence, business intelligence analysis reports, and financial risk reports.
  • Develop and leverage internal networks, in cooperation with SM&P and other TUI Airline colleagues, to ensure the best input and output of your scope.
About You
  • At least a relevant graduate degree, a CIPS qualification, or equivalent by experience.
  • At least seven years of relevant management, commercial, and/or procurement experience.
  • Highly proficient in English, knowledge of other languages desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in CCIS area required.
  • Experience of managing people, ensuring successful delivery while supporting the professional development of team members.
  • Experience of delivering complex projects, shaping programmes of work, and coordinating activities across multiple departments or teams.
  • A commercial mindset, continually evaluating the costs and benefits of a decision.
  • Ability to have a short-term focus while maintaining a strategic eye on the long-term view.
  • Strong numeric, analytical, and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to identify and understand key drivers in any scenario.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions and think out of the box.
  • Effective communication and reporting skills, able to tailor messaging for different stakeholders.
  • Good negotiation, influencing, and persuading skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to engage at different levels within the business.
  • An understanding of cultural differences, able to manage the complexity and ambiguity resulting from multiple stakeholders of differing sizes and based in different countries.
  • Development of a strong network of contacts throughout the business and industry, gaining the support and commitment of key players to key projects.
  • A 'can-do' attitude, result-orientation, and drive to take the initiative.
