Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Support Professional to join our Education team at Aspris Children's Services. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and young people with their educational activities, while also promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering educational activities to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Support young people with their learning, behavior, and emotional well-being, while establishing positive relationships and acting as a role model.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans, in collaboration with the class teacher and other professionals.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting in a classroom setting, preferably in an educational or care environment.
  • A Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) relevant to the teaching and learning environment of learners and young adults.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A caring and compassionate approach to supporting young people with varying needs and abilities.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances, while maintaining a high level of resilience and professionalism.
