We are seeking a highly experienced individual to lead the manufacturing portion of our business as a Director of Biological Manufacturing.
About the RoleThis is a senior opportunity for a proven leader who has a track record of success in biological or cellular manufacturing programmes and technology transfer activities.
Key Responsibilities- Define long-term objectives for the manufacturing department, aligning them with overall business goals.
- Drive operational excellence to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
- Continuously expand and develop manufacturing processes and frameworks across GMP cleanroom facilities.
- Support technology transfer projects from research and development teams.
- Lead daily organisational activities of the GMP team and take responsibility for staff training.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and commercialisation efforts.
- Analyse production data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimisation.
The ideal candidate will have:
- BSc / MSc / PhD in Biology (or equivalent biological degree).
- Proven track record of success in leadership roles within biological manufacturing or production operations.
- Expertise in internal technology transfer of R&D projects to manufacturing, including scale-up, process optimisation and stability testing.
- Prior experience working within a GMP environment and strong understanding of GMP documentation.
- Proven experience in leading manufacturing teams and leading manufacturing projects.
