We are seeking a talented Data Science Leader to join our Microbiome Research team in Cambridge. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the analysis and interpretation of complex biological datasets to support groundbreaking clinical trials and research initiatives.

Job Summary:

Our team is on the forefront of microbiome drug discovery, and we are looking for a skilled Data Scientist to lead our analytics efforts. You will work closely with our research scientists to design and implement new analytical methods, develop robust statistical models, and provide analytical support across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyse large-scale biological datasets, including metagenomics and transcriptomics, to identify trends and associations with clinical metadata.
  2. Develop and implement new machine learning methods to enhance our informatics platform and support clinical trials.
  3. Provide statistical input into study designs and analysis plans for complex datasets.
  4. Collaborate with research scientists to design and implement new analytical methods.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in data science, bioinformatics, statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Proven industry experience in machine learning methods, including clustering, feature selection, and dimension reduction.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, pension scheme, and generous holiday allowance.
