Education Support Professional for Children with Complex Needs

We are seeking an experienced Education Support Professional to join our team in one of our Primary, Secondary or Specialised Schools. The successful candidate will work part-time, providing support to class teachers in delivering high-quality care and education to children and young people with additional support needs.
About the Role- Assist class teachers in developing and implementing individualized educational programs tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Provide emotional support and promote social skills development among students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure seamless integration of academic and personal support services.
- Support students with complex healthcare needs by applying acquired knowledge and training.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A PDA ESQ qualification or equivalent (SCQF level 6 or above), such as NC Early Education and Childcare or SVQ3 Social Care.
- Experience working with children and young people who have complex and additional support needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- The capacity to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, demonstrating empathy and flexibility.
