About the Role

Travelers is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead the management and implementation of projects within our European operation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing project plans, backlogs, work-stream activities, milestones, risks, and issues to ensure a normalized approach across the project portfolio of work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee project plans, backlogs, work-stream activities, milestones, risks, and issues.
  • Coach and mentor non-PMO project managers in project management skills and provide support as needed.
  • Provide thought leadership to help the PMO leadership team model the way in providing a center of excellence for project management and delivery in Europe.
  • Operate within defined parameters of the Travelers methodology and the PMO to accomplish collective project and programme goals.
  • Ensure all project literature, artefacts, and analytics are kept up to date, proportionate, and of the required standard.
  • Help manage dependencies between projects and programmes, understand risk, and ensure mitigation plans are being managed appropriately.
  • Manage project resources effectively and ensure clear direction is provided.
  • Manage executive-level relationships.
  • Act in an ethical manner at all times and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Certification in a structured Project Management Methodology, including Prince2, ISEB, PMP.
  • Experience within a Scrum Master role in an Agile Development environment, including general knowledge of Kanban.
  • A track record as Project Manager of up to 8 work-streams and related IT and non-IT projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of and experience in developing the Business Case.
  • Business-focused, level-headed, collaborative, and comfortable working at all levels of the organization with excellent negotiation, communication, mentoring, and coaching skills.
