Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Nursing Professional to join our team at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and caring individual to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children and young people, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver excellent patient outcomes.

About the Role

This part-time position involves working 34.5 hours per week, serving as secondment cover or a fixed-term contract for 13 months. The role requires minimal supervision and the ability to take charge of the ward in the absence of the manager.

The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Care Needs Assessment: Ensure appropriate planned care is implemented and evaluated for all patients.
  • Ward Leadership: Work under the direction of the ward manager, taking charge of the ward in their absence.
  • Patient Care: Provide care to patients without supervision to prevent admission or reduce hospitalization.
  • Clinical Leadership: Act as an effective clinical leader, ensuring the clinical and professional development of staff.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant nursing qualification (RSCN/RN Child)
  • Substantial paediatric experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

We offer a competitive salary of £35,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
