Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and young people, delivering evidence-based early interventions and supporting their mental health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with children, young people, and their parents/carers to support self-management and develop plans for specific interventions.
  • Manage own caseload and gain the necessary skills to practice a range of interventions, including guided self-help.
  • Work with colleagues to provide better access to specialist mental health services and support referrals where required.
  • Support colleagues in education to identify and manage issues related to mental health and wellbeing.
Requirements
  • Ability to study at degree level and a proven record of previous academic attainment.
  • Good solid basic literacy and numeracy qualifications.
  • Experience of working with children and young people and an understanding of the educational system in England is highly desirable.
