Financial Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for maintaining the financial health of our UK entity. This involves preparing, examining, and analyzing accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting and procedural standards.
Responsibilities- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare UK statutory and group financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements in accordance with UK Companies Act 2006.
- Manage the company's general ledger, ensuring proper classification of financial transactions in line with UK GAAP and relevant accounting standards.
- Ensure that all financial statements comply with UK tax laws, including corporation tax, VAT, and payroll taxes, ensuring timely submissions.
- Prepare and file VAT returns under Making Tax Digital (MTD) guidelines, as well as corporation tax filings.
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and accurate calculation of PAYE, National Insurance Contributions (NICs), and pension contributions in accordance with Auto Enrolment regulations.
- Manage interactions with HMRC and other UK tax authorities, ensuring that all inquiries and audits are properly handled.
- Prepare for external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation is in place for audit compliance under UK law.
- Identify discrepancies in financial records and resolve accounting issues promptly.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or UK accounting qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- 3-7 years of experience in accounting and consolidation roles.
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP is a plus.
- Strong understanding of UK tax law, including VAT, PAYE, NICs, and Corporation Tax, along with a working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Strong analytical skills combined with a problem-solving attitude and a can-do mentality.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented, accurate, and precise with a high degree of integrity in financial reporting.
