We are seeking a Casual Nursery Assistant to join our team at Brockenhurst College. As a Casual Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality childcare services to our students.
The successful candidate will have a good level of experience in childcare, gained either through paid or voluntary work. They will be able to demonstrate a professional approach with parents, staff, and children, and have a comprehensive understanding of childcare, development, and behaviour.
The Casual Nursery Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the organisation of the College Childcare facilities and premises. This will include ensuring the implementation of all relevant regulations and criteria within the statutory framework, and supporting the provision of a high-quality environment that meets the needs of individual children from differing cultures and religious backgrounds and stages of development.
The Casual Nursery Assistant will also be responsible for assisting with the organisation, preparation, and planning of continuous provision, ensuring it is of an appropriate nature relevant to individual needs of participating children. This will include the preparation of various resources, art activities, wall displays, and enhanced free play, in line with Government guidance and framework.
The Casual Nursery Assistant will work as part of a team to deliver high-quality standards of childcare across the nursery, promoting partnerships with families and ensuring every child thrives in a safe and secure setting, providing sound foundations for life.
The Casual Nursery Assistant will be required to undertake appropriate safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check, and provide proof of right to work in the UK.
