Logistics Manager Job Description

**Job Summary:**

1st Step Solutions is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join our team in West London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, with a focus on large M&E contractors and MEP plant movement.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Mobilization and traffic management
* Installation of site facilities and site inductions
* Material management and movement plans
* Integration with key contractors for space and time management
* Delivery management and logistics supplier management
* Managing sub-contractors and record keeping
* Adhering to safety policies and ensuring adequate safety equipment
* Creating safety manuals and conducting safety inspections
* Providing safety training and logistics awareness training
* Managing PPE stocks and producing statements
* Conducting risk assessments and lifting plans
* Organizing site signage
* Managing delivery and ensuring appropriate vehicles are used
* Managing vehicles, plant, equipment, and vertical transport
* Updating the Site Waste Management Plan and environmental reporting
* Maintaining duty of care certificates and HSE monitoring

**Requirements:**

* Previous experience in a construction management or logistics function
* Knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical equipment and IT systems
* CSCS card at a minimum
* SSSTS or SMSTS certification
* Manual Handling and Working at Heights certifications
* IPAF and First Aid certifications
* Banksman/Traffic Marshall experience
* Experience in managing suppliers for scaffolding, temporary electrics, plumbing, welfare, and office accommodation
