About The Range:

The Range is a leading retail company with over 200 stores nationwide, known for its excellent customer service and commitment to employee development. We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Shift Manager to join our team at our brand-new Distribution Centre in Stowmarket, Suffolk.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Warehouse Shift Manager to lead our team of warehouse staff. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our warehouse operations, including inventory management, stock put-away, picking, and dispatch. You will also be responsible for driving process change and improvements, maintaining Health & Safety as a priority, and developing standard operational processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of warehouse staff, including First Line Managers, to achieve operational KPIs and exceed productivity targets.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with peer groups, including inventory, H&S, planning, and HR Manager, to achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure accurate stock management and inventory control.
  • Conduct shift handovers and staff engagement activities to promote a positive work environment.
  • Review performance and tackle underperformance through management intervention.
  • Set and drive critical tasks and measures through team review, business plans, and PDPs.
Requirements:
  • Notable experience of managing in a warehouse environment.
  • Warehouse systems knowledge, preferably with Red Prairie or Blue Yonder.
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
